This frozen treat is so simple to make plus each popsicle is only 85 calories! Watermelons are great to add to your diet, they are high in vitamin C as well as biotin, vitamin A and potassium. Not only is this a healthy snack but it is absolutely delicious!
1 large watermelon, ripe
A pack of wooden popsicle sticks, amount will vary depending on watermelon size (Recommend size: 6 in. x 1.5 in.)
2 baking trays (Or 2 large plates)
Parchment paper (you may also use any type of aluminum foil or even plastic wrap)
Take whole watermelon and cut in half
Slice watermelon into 1 1/2 thick slices. They will look like large flat circles!
You should get about 4- 5 large flat circle slices, depending on the size of your watermelon
Take one of your circles and cut the watermelon down the center and then across, this will create four triangles
Take your 4 triangles and cut each one of those down the center. This will then create 8 watermelon slices
Continue slicing until all watermelon is prepared!
Carefully cut about a 1 inch slice into all of the bottom middle of every watermelon slice
Slide your popsicle sticks into the cut that you made
Grab a tray or plate and cover with parchment paper
Place all watermelon slices on your tray, make sure none of the watermelon slices are touching
Freeze over night or until hard
When ready, remove from freezer and serve!
